A look back on 2017 great moments in BYU athletics

While there was heartache in 2017 there were some really great & awesome moments in BYU athletics.

Lets take a look back at some of the years best performances.

Mens Volleyball 

For a 2nd straight year the mens volleyball team made the national championship.


Mens Basketball

The mens Basketball team went into Spokane and upset undefeated and #1 ranked Gonzaga, beating the Zags once again in the kennel.



The softball team had many records & great accomplishments they set, including a 22 game winning streak, 46 total wins, we saw McKenna Bull become the all time winning pitcher at BYU while setting a record 57.2 scoreless innings, all while winning their 9th straight conf. championship and making it 13 straight NCAA regional appearances.



Won their 1st ever WCC tourney championship in dramatic fashion by winning 4 straight games and by doing so they secured an automatic bid for their 1st NCAA regional appearance since 2002


Mens Cross Country

Finished 3rd place in the NCAA national finals.



His dancing antics with the National Champions BYU Cougaretts gains national attention and the video goes viral.


Mens & Womens Golf

Both teams won the WCC title on their home course at the Riverside Country Club in Provo.


Womens Volleyball 

After winnimg their 4th straight WCC Conf Title the ladies reached their 6th straight Sweet16 in the NCAA national tournament.


Mens Basketball 

BYU snapped a 3 game losing streak to Utah when they recently beat the Utes at the Marriott Center.


As 2017 comes to an end & 2018 begins it is sure to be another great year for all BYU athletics, so lets all “Rise and Shout” & support all these great teams and athletes.
