When defenses line up against the BYU football team’s offense, they will often be watching the Cougar tight ends shift all over the formation.
“We are going to run the play depending on where the defense is,” BYU sophomore tight end Matt Bushman said Thursday after practice. “If we motion, we have a possibility of having the tight end — one extra guy — on the strong side. Or if they shift over, the weak side has a gap. It opens up that possibility of a mismatch.”
