Persistence pays off for former BYU running back Algernon Brown, who signs with the Kansas City Chiefs

It’s been a year and a half since running back Algernon “Alge” Brown strapped on the pads for the BYU football team, capping a career where he gained 1,310 yards on 259 carries with 285 receiving yards on 35 receptions and 20 total touchdowns.

Since that point, he has worked and waited and hoped and dreamed of getting a shot at continuing his career at the highest level.

Thursday afternoon, all of Brown’s patience and persistence paid off.
