Respect for current players increased buy-in for new BYU football offensive staff

The best leaders recognize that for a group of individuals to give their best, they have to have understand and be committed to the vision.

But the initial step to get to that point is, as Dr. John Maxwell said in his book “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership,” having people buy into the leader, then the vision.

New BYU football offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes and the staff he assembled arrived in Provo with a considerable amount of experience and expertise.

For the Cougars to have any hope of really turning around an offense that frequently struggled in 2017, however, the BYU players would need to buy-in to the new direction.
